Badarikashrama is spiritual center dedicated to education and service to humanity. It is an oasis of peace, tranquility, simplicity and devotion to Narayana – our Universal Creator.  Founded by respected Swami Omkaranandaji Maharaj, we have two spiritual centers located at Madihalli, Karnataka, India and in San Leandro, California, USA.

At our USA center, we offer daily puja with weekly Sunday Services, and also offer several events around the year centered around Indian festivals, music, dance, cultural talks and yoga. We also offer a Balasamaskara (cultural education for children) Kendra. You can find upcoming events are on our webpage.

 

Our India center has blossomed into a "Tapbhumi" and "Karmabhumi." Nestled in the rolling hills of Madihalli, surrounded by hundred of villages, the ashrama serves this rural area providing a thriving spiritual and education oasis for everyone.  In 2008 a primary school ( Badarikashrama Vidyashala) was established with the underlining foundation of Swami Vivekananda's philosophy of "Man Making Education." Swami Omkarananda's unflinching dedication to education development attracts outstanding teaching and promising students. The fine facilites and innumerable oppoitunites for growth contribute to the ashrama's unfluence on the surrounding communites. 

With comfortable and modern accommodations, guests both internationally and locally have the opportunity  to stay as a guest to break from the busy wold to practice personal tapasya (Meditation, selfless, service, scriptural studies, etc).  We invite you to explore the tranquil environment at the ashrama in USA and India and feel the peace and vibrations for yourself!
